API Terms of Use
This is an English translation provided for convenience. The Bulgarian version is the legally binding text; if the two differ, the Bulgarian version applies.

What the API provides
- Pravko’s API and MCP server give access to legal information: the texts of legislative acts, court acts, official forms and public company data.
- Pravko is not a lawyer and does not give legal advice within the meaning of the Attorneys Act (Закон за адвокатурата). Answers are information, not advice on a specific case.
Account, keys and sign-in
- You use the API with your Pravko account (signing in through ChatGPT, Claude or another client), or with an API key created in your account. Keep the key like a password, and you are responsible for requests made with it.
- We may stop a key or a connected app in case of abuse, a security risk, or a breach of these terms.
Credits and payments
- Each search or read is one request. Pro and Max include the API within fair-use limits; Free includes 200 requests a calendar month, which do not roll over.
- Extra requests are bought prepaid in packs, with VAT as the law requires. Their validity period and the refund rules [still to be decided].
- Teams pay monthly per seat. A team’s keys use its shared requests.
Permitted use
- You may embed the results in your own answers, agents and products, naming Pravko and giving the source’s address.
- When you show an answer a model wrote over these sources, tell people it is legal information, not advice.
Prohibited use
- Trying to reveal the identity of people whose data a court or a register has erased or hidden.
- Bulk downloading of the sources to build another database, and circumventing the request-count limits.
- Presenting the results as advice from a lawyer, or as the official text of an act.
- Sending other people’s personal data in requests without a legal basis.
Sources and rights
- Legislative acts and court acts are not subject to copyright (Art. 4, item 1 of the Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Act (ЗАПСП)). Only the text promulgated in the State Gazette (Държавен вестник) is official.
- The forms belong to the institutions that issue them; serve their current version. Company data comes from the Registry Agency’s open data and the VAT bulletin of the National Revenue Agency (НАП), as of the stated date.
- Every source carries its own origin. Some sources are not served through the API until the rights for their re-use are settled.
Personal data
- Company profiles contain the names of representatives recorded in the Commercial Register (Търговски регистър). Use them only to check the company. If a person objects, we remove the data and tell you to remove it on your side too.

Liability
- We aim for the sources to be complete and up to date, but we do not guarantee this. Check the text against the official source before relying on it.
- We may change the API and these terms; for material changes we will warn developers in advance [notice period to be decided].
