Want to check your pension, sick leave or insurance record (осигурителен стаж)? Everything goes through the National Social Security Institute (НОИ, the NSSI) and is done with a personal identification number (ЕГН) and a personal identification code (ПИК). We show you step by step how to get a report (справка) from home in five minutes.

What a НОИ ПИК is and how it differs from a НАП ПИК
To access the NSSI reports you have three ways to log in. The easiest is the НОИ ПИК, which is free and takes minutes to get.

If you already have a НАП ПИК, you do not need to get a separate НОИ ПИК. The НАП ПИК also works for NSSI reports.
How to get a НОИ ПИК
If you have neither a НОИ ПИК nor a НАП ПИК, here is how to get one free of charge.
Getting a НОИ ПИК in person
Take your identity card
The original, not a copy. If you are getting one for another person, bring a notarised power of attorney

From 1 January 2026 all reports go through ЕПЕУ only. The old ways of checking no longer work.
How to get a report in ЕПЕУ
The NSSI’s Unified Portal for Electronic Services
Click "Вход" (Log in) and choose a method
НОИ ПИК, НАП ПИК or КЕП. For reports, all three work the same
Enter your ЕГН and ПИК
Watch out for the zero (0) and the letter O. The ПИК contains only digits and lowercase Latin letters
Choose "Електронно осигурително досие" (Electronic insurance file)

How to read the results of the report
The results of the НОИ reports can look complicated. Here is what to look for in the most common cases.
Pension report
You see three amounts: the gross amount (before deductions), the deductions for health insurance and tax, and the net amount you receive in your account. If you have supplements (for age over 75, for third-party assistance), they are shown separately.
Sick leave report
It shows the status of each sick-leave certificate: accepted, being processed or paid. For a paid one you see the exact date of the transfer and the amount. You can read more about checking sick leave in our guide to checking sick-leave payments.
Insurance record report
You see every insurance period by months, the insured income and the employer. If you notice missing months, the problem is most likely with the employer.

Common problems and solutions
Here are the most common problems when getting a report and how to solve them quickly.
Troubleshooting
Forgotten ПИК*
Go to a НОИ office for a new one. Do not enter wrong combinations, because you are blocked after a few attempts
Error entering the ПИК
Watch the difference between O/0 and l/1. The ПИК contains only lowercase Latin letters and digits
The system is not working
ЕПЕУ is sometimes unavailable at peak hours (10:00-12:00). Try in the morning or evening
Pension discrepancy
Save the report (PDF or photo) and file an objection with the НОИ territorial office (ТП)
Incomplete insurance record in the report
Ask the employer for УП-2 and УП-3 and present them to НОИ
